Shannon Young

Cricket Australia Level 3 Coach

A Level 3 High Performance Cricket Australia accredited Coach, Shannon is regarded as one of cricket’s most modern and innovative Coaches. As the Founder of YoungGun Cricket, he has changed the way the game is coached and played focusing on player centric skill acquisition and performance evaluation to create one of the world’s leading state of the art cricket training facilities.

Shannon has a wealth of coaching experience in High Performance, Premier Cricket and local Club environments and is widely respected for his passion and inherent knowledge that he has shared with international players the calibre of Cameron White, Dan Christian, Molly Strano and Scott Edwards among others.

In his 9th season as Head Coach of Richmond CC, he is also responsible for the holistic development of what many believe is Australia’s best collection of young cricket talent and he also plays a key role in the development of the likes of Jake Fraser-McGurk, Wil Parker and Mitch Perry, the next generation of Victorian Cricket.

While a traditionalist at heart, Shannon is also a disruptor and has embraced the modern age of cricket and has been the catalyst of thinking outside the square when creating a hybrid approach to ensuring the basic foundations of cricket are merged with the new age of the game.

Chris Hall

Cricket Australia Level 3 Coach

With more than 20 years of experience, Chris Hall has built a reputation as one of the most passionate and knowledgeable coaches in the cricket world.

A Cricket Australia Level 3 Coach, he has held Premier coaching positions with Casey South Melbourne, Richmond, Frankston and Kingston Hawthorn. Most recently, Chris has been Head Coach of Cricket Victoria YPL Region South-East Bayside Breakers.

Drawing on a background in computer science, Chris is at the forefront of Cricket Data Science, equipment performance analysis and technology application for skill acquisition and game development.

Through his quest to revolutionise cricket retail via Cricket World Moorabbin, Chris immersed himself in the future of data driven coaching and performance analysis. A self-confessed Cricket Geek, Chris became an expert in bat sensor technology, swing analytics, Artificial Intelligence Motion Analysis to create Australia’s first custom cricket bat fitting experience.

Brad Harman

Fielding Coach

Brad is a former Major League Baseball player who transitioned into the world of Cricket Coaching in 2014 primarily identifying as a fielding and throwing coach. His knowledge and expertise acquired through his Baseball career allows Brad to identify and assist many cricket athletes from a mechanical point of view to increase strength, accuracy and overall health and longevity of their throwing arm.

Brad’s success in the Cricket space is his ability to adapt philosophies around the fielding technique including how to maximise consistency and transition efficiently through the fielding to throwing process whilst maintaining strength and accuracy in the throw. Defensive footwork, angles of attack and positional awareness are also primary focal points of Brad’s as he challenges cricketers of all age and skill level to explore what’s possible for themselves defensively.

Brad is also a passionate mentor for professional athletes as they navigate and pursue their own journey in the world of elite sport.

Dr Peter Streker

Psychologist

Dr Peter Streker is a psychologist who has had a long involvement in community sports and has worked on many other complex social topics.

Peter is passionate about working with the limits of the human experience and thrives on helping people become their best. He specialises in developing practical skills and strategies that can lead to quick results, helping athletes compete with more fun and freedom. Peter is also a Senior Fellow at the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences at The University of Melbourne and the Chair of the Australian Psychological Society’s Victorian College of Community Psychologists.

James Miller

Excercise Physiologist

James (Jimi) completed his undergraduate degree in Food Science / Nutrition in 2006 at Deakin University before going on to do a Masters in Clinical Exercise rehabilitation at Victoria University in 2010/11. He has now over 10 years' experience in private practice working with a wide range of conditions from falls prevention, weight managment, workplace and traffic accidents to pre and post-surgery and elite sports.

James has a special interest in cricket, where he is a High Performance (Level III) qualified coach. He is a life member of the local Victorian Premier Cricket Club, Frankston Peninsula after 15 years playing service and remains a current committee member, he has also played in Victoria's Premier competition with Prahran (2 seasons) and was the inaugural captain/coach of Kingston Hawthorn Cricket Club for their first 3 seasons.

Lynda Miller

Physiotherapist

Graduating in 2002 after previously completing a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree at La Trobe University, Lynda started her career at Frankston Hospital where she experienced may different wards and departments. She gained a passion for orthopaedics and women’s health there and started in Private Practice at TSIC in 2006.

In 2009 Lynda became the physiotherapist for the Victorian Women’s Cricket team the VicSpirit where she was able to combine her private practice work with her love of the game of cricket.

Lynda has a special interest in holistic physiotherapy and loves working through the entire lifestyle picture when treating an injury or condition. Qualifications:

Sam Kindlen

High Performance Coach

Sam joins PER4ORM with a wealth of coaching credentials and experience more suited to someone well beyond his years. A coach who is committed to working at the highest level; Sam has coached all over the world, passing on his expertise to first class and international players across both the men’s and women’s game.

Sam has become renowned in many cricket circles as a passionate and fiercely team oriented coach. His philosophy of ‘understanding the person in order to coach the player’ has allowed him to build honest relationships with some of the best players in the world, as well as cricketers just starting on their journey. Regardless of the format or demands of the situation, Sam brings his adaptive coaching style and good natured personality to get the best out of anyone he works with.
